Lions Club of Siliguri Givers observed the One District One Activity - ABHINANDAN - and celebrated Doctors Day and CA day with few doctors and CAs of the city.
Keep up their spirit towards the society and keeping in mind the ongoing pandemic and social distancing norms we visited the Doctors and CA individually and felicitated them from 1st to 6th of July in a segregated manner. CA Gaurav Agarwal, CA Prashant Agarwal, CA Dewesh Goyal, Dr. Imanava De and our club president Lion Dr. Ankit Agarwal were felicitated under this activity.
Project Chairperson Lion Rajiv Singhal and his team coordinated very well to reach out and conduct the activity flawlessly.

Members of Lions Club of Siliguri Givers under the guidance of DG Lion Abijeet Sen with the presence of Region Chairperson Lion Rajender Garg and Zone Chairperson Lion Arihant Rakhecha inaugurated our Permanent Project BAAL AAHAR.
The children also presented a dance performance during the event. Food, Sweaters and soaps were distributed to the children after the program.

Lions Club of Siliguri Givers has started a month-long Blood Donation Camp at Lions Terai Blood Bank to address the shortage of blood in banks of Siliguri. On the first day, we donated 9 units of blood and similar donation are planned throughout the month.
Donors were also given face mask and 200ml hand sanitizer other than the facilitation momento.

Lions Club Of Siliguri Givers celebrated the 74th independence day with great enthusiasm. In view of social distancing norms flag hoisting and independence day celebration was done virtually. The members came forward and donated blood in their ongoing month long blood donation camp. They donated Braille Stationary and ration to beneficiaries of Snehasharm Drishtiheen Asharam located in Bidhannagar. Under their Clean Hands Initiative soaps were also distributed. Lions Club of Siliguri Givers have also taken up to support education of blind students round the year. Representative of the club has again appealed to everyone to contac them and come forward voluntarily to donate blood in this time of pandemic. Manabari Tea Estate is situated few kilometres off-road from Oodlabari. Unfortunately, the tea estate has been shut for the last 4 years. The workers of the estate have been doing some odd jobs to meet their daily requirements and have to live in sheer poverty.
Members of Lions Club of Siliguri Givers visited the estate with lead and help of Lion Abhijeet Sen, Lion Shymal Das, Lion Partho Banerjee and local help Kuldeep. We distributed 100 packets of food each containing 1 Kg Rice, 1 Kg Aata, 250 gms Dal, 1 pkt Salt, Soya bean and Masala. Every family was given 1 packet of food.
The program was very well coordinated and managed by the Project Chairman - Advocate Vishal Agarwal and other members of Lions Club of Siliguri Givers.
On returning from the tea estate umbrellas were distributed to traffic police volunteers under the Dhoop Chhaon scheme.

Food Distribution at Harijan Basti, Siliguri - FOOD FOR ALL
Today on the auspicious day of Dhanteras, members of Lions Club of Siliguri Givers visited Harijan Basti, Siliguri. We distributed food among 310 needy people.
The program was very well coordinated and managed by members of Lions Club of Siliguri Givers.

Our club organised its 1st ever Mega Blood Donation Camp and Health Check Up Camp in association with Lions Club of Siliguri Terai & Neotia Getwel Hospital at Webel IT Park on 16th November.
It was a staggering success where we witnessed an unexpected turnout of more than 600 people.
We collected 123 units of blood and examined 519 people under this event.
The program was very well coordinated and managed by the Project Chairman - Lion Anirudha Biswas, support team (Lion Rahul Agarwal, Lion Dr. Ankit Agarwal, Lion Deepak Agarwal) and other members of Lions Club of Siliguri Givers.

Lions Club of Siliguri Givers as part of the Food For All activity of the district fed more that 350 people.
We arranged lunch for the needy with help of Vasudeva Kutumbakam (a group that provides for food to the needy) and made sure that everyone is fed till their satiety.
We also distributed 300 soaps as part of our pilot project - Clean Hands Initiative.
Lion Pankaj Bansal, Lion Vivek Bansal, Lion Gaurav Agarwal and team managed the program very well while maintaining social distancing norms.

Lions Club of Siliguri Givers arranged a Blood Donation Camp on 24/09/2020 in the campus of Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya in association with Lions Terai Blood Bank, Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya Alumni Association, NCC Unit, NSS Unit II and SkLive. 37 units of blood collected under this event. Donors were given the title of "COVID Responder" by the club as they have donated during the COVID pandemic. The club also distributed hand sanitizer under club's Clean Hands Initiative. Food distribution was also carried out under Food For All project. The program was very well coordinated and managed by the members of Lions Club of Siliguri Givers.

Lions Club of Siliguri Givers on 04/10/2020 arranged an eye check up camp in association with Siliguri Lions Netralaya Eye Hospital at the premises of Yuva Shakti Sporting Club at Surya Nagar. 53 patients were examined by the experts and 18 patients who requested spectacles were given free spectacles from the club. 9 patients have been registered for free surgery.
Social distancing norms were followed throughout the program.
Milk, soap and masks was also distributed under the club's various programs. Local volunteers and members of the club managed the camp very well.
