On 7th March,2018 the President on behalf of Lions Club of Siliguri, Shatabdi visited Khushi Shiksha Kendra to distribute science,mathematics text books to the students of classes 7,8 and 9.To encourage and congratulate them on successfully being promoted to higher classes, goodday biscuits were given.

On 25th February 2018, Lions Club of Siliguri Shatabdi and Sainikpuri Gram Sewa Samiti jointly organised a Blood Donation Camp at Sainikpuri from 9.00a.m to 2.00p.m.30 units of blood was collected.Unfortunately more than 12 donors were rejected due to anemia, thyroid and high blood pressure. The Chairman of Terai Blood Bank and Mr Atul Jhawar visited the centre and presented the momento of appreciation to the members.Water,food packets, juice and fruits were given to the donors and participants.

A programme of "cleanliness drive" was organised by Lions Club of Siliguri Shatabdi today ie 1.04.2018 at Milan More Champasari in association with khushi shiksha Kendra on the occasion of the celebration of 18th Foundation day of Khushi Shiksha Kendra.The programme started from 7.30am to 10.30am. The roads were cleaned, litters were cleared and burned with the spirit of swachh Bharat Abhiyan.Water, biscuits and chocolates were distributed to all.

Lions club of Siliguri Shatabdi successfully organised a blood donation camp at Milan more Champasari in association with. Madur Milan Sangha Siliguri with the help of Siliguri Terai lions mood bank.Despite cold weather a total 19 units of blood donated by various individuals.

The Lions Club of Siliguri Shatabdi, in the Event of ,"Worldwide week of Service to fight Hunger" organized a Camp at a remote village called GOLAIGHAT , GIRMANI TEA GARDEN situated at 35 kilometers from Siliguri City for distributing Blankets, new & old wearable warm cloths , New chappals and food items to needy n underprivileged people of the said village.

A total no. of 50 new Blankets, 20 pairs new of chappals for children, jackets , sweaters, under garments, woolen caps, salwar suits ,saaries, Blankets for new born babies, shirts, t shirts trousers n track pants were distributed to all needy people of the said village. In addition eatable items comprising of Banana, Samosa, Gud Rasana, Bread, Nestle munch, Muri balls, coconut sweets were also distributed.
When our team reached the village it was noticed that none of the people including small children had any chappals or shoes in their feet. Few children were only on underwear on such cold and chilling weather.

There are 23 families having 123 heads living in the said village with pathetic condition.
Our team members advised all adult male member to work hard to earn for their family n refrain away from alcohol n gambling. Women and children were advised not to be influenced by any stranger who offer big money to take away their children specially girl child. They have been told about girl and women trafficking. They were also told about the personal and overall hyzine and cleanliness. Before concluding, all members sung National Anthem and thanked all the villagers to give us opportunity to be with them.

Tree plantation and swatch Bharat BY SILIGURI Shatabdi.
The Lions Club of Siliguri, Shatabdi conducted an Afforestration Programme today, 9.12.2017 at Kholachand Fapri Primary School for a 'Green and Clean ' environment. The President and Secretary of the club --- Lion Aruna Ruchal and Lion Tamanna Diyali, respectively spoke about the importance of planting trees in the present world which is threatened by the hazards of global warming and pollution. Coconut trees--2, beetul nut--20, AricaPalm--10, Chickoo fruit--2, guava--2, salvia--50 and other plants too were planted in the school premises. The school garden was cleaned by the members following the Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan spirit.Biscuits were distributed to the students of the school. (Thank you---Secretary)??
