Lions Club of Siliguri Givers-Blood Donation & Mega Health Check Up Camp

Our club organised its 1st ever Mega Blood Donation Camp and Health Check Up Camp in association with Lions Club of Siliguri Terai & Neotia Getwel Hospital at Webel IT Park on 16th November.
It was a staggering success where we witnessed an unexpected turnout of more than 600 people.
We collected 123 units of blood and examined 519 people under this event.
The program was very well coordinated and managed by the Project Chairman - Lion Anirudha Biswas, support team (Lion Rahul Agarwal, Lion Dr. Ankit Agarwal, Lion Deepak Agarwal) and other members of Lions Club of Siliguri Givers.

Distribution Of Food By Lions Club of Siliguri Givers

Lions Club of Siliguri Givers as part of the Food For All activity of the district fed more that 350 people.
We arranged lunch for the needy with help of Vasudeva Kutumbakam (a group that provides for food to the needy) and made sure that everyone is fed till their satiety.
We also distributed 300 soaps as part of our pilot project - Clean Hands Initiative.
Lion Pankaj Bansal, Lion Vivek Bansal, Lion Gaurav Agarwal and team managed the program very well while maintaining social distancing norms.

Blood Donation Camp By Lions Club of Siliguri Givers

Lions Club of Siliguri Givers arranged a Blood Donation Camp on 24/09/2020 in the campus of Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya in association with Lions Terai Blood Bank, Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya Alumni Association, NCC Unit, NSS Unit II and SkLive. 37 units of blood collected under this event. Donors were given the title of "COVID Responder" by the club as they have donated during the COVID pandemic. The club also distributed hand sanitizer under club's Clean Hands Initiative. Food distribution was also carried out under Food For All project. The program was very well coordinated and managed by the members of Lions Club of Siliguri Givers.

Eye Check Up Camp By Lions Club of Siliguri Givers

Lions Club of Siliguri Givers on 04/10/2020 arranged an eye check up camp in association with Siliguri Lions Netralaya Eye Hospital at the premises of Yuva Shakti Sporting Club at Surya Nagar. 53 patients were examined by the experts and 18 patients who requested spectacles were given free spectacles from the club. 9 patients have been registered for free surgery.
Social distancing norms were followed throughout the program.
Milk, soap and masks was also distributed under the club's various programs. Local volunteers and members of the club managed the camp very well.

Distribution Of Blankets By Lions Club of Siliguri Givers

Lions Club of Siliguri Givers on 06.12.2020 completed three activities in a very well coordinated manner with help of volunteers.
We distributed 80 blankets along with soap under the Clean Hands Initiative and diabetes screening under ODOA Cheeni Kum.

Eye Check Up Camp By Lions Club of Siliguri Givers

Lions Club of Siliguri Givers arranged a Eye Check up camp along with Diabetes screening camp and Soap Distribution under different projects on 12th December 2020 at Jabravita Dakshin Santinagar Hindi Jr. High school (Near Indian Oil Corporation Siliguri).
At total of 101 people were benefited from our event.

Lions Club of Siliguri Givers in association with Shiv Mandir Yuva organized a Blood Donation Camp on 06/02/2021 at Sri Narshingha Vidyapeet. Along with Lions Terai Blood Bank, they collected 70 units of blood. Donors were given the title of "COVID Responder" by the club as they have donated during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the event blood sugar was also tested. The club also distributed soap under the club's Clean Hands Initiative. Food distribution was also carried out under Food For All project.

Lions Club of Siliguri Givers in association with Ray of Hope organized a Blood Donation Camp on 07/02/2021 at Sri Narshingha Vidyapeet. Along with Lions Terai Blood Bank they collected 47 units of blood. Donors were given the title of "COVID Responder" by the club as they have donated during the COVID pandemic. In the 2 day camp they have collected 117 units of blood. During the event blood sugar was also tested. The club also distributed soap under the club's Clean Hands Initiative. Food distribution was also carried out under Food For All project. Warm clothes were also distributed for the needy. The program was very well coordinated and managed by the members of Lions Club of Siliguri Givers.

On 17 Th February 2021 our club " Siliguri Unity Wings" was invited by " Siliguri Police Commisionate" in the seminar " Safety Of Woman In Public Transport"in which many tips were given keeping in mind the present scenario.Our club was also recognised for the services rendered till date .

On 26th and 28th February 2021 our club " Siliguri Unity Wings" participated in the Cricket Tournament organised by " Lions Club Of Siliguri Saviours" in which 4 female take and 16 male teams took part. The event was a successful one.
